Spent ten years on Wilshire Blvd. – as a Mad Man with advertising agency Doyle Dane Bernbach, Inc. – the best agency ever in spite of me working there.
Spent two years with the worst advertising agency in the world in Portland, Oregon.
Moved into radio, first in advertising sales, then General Sales Manager, then General Manager of several Portland radio stations. Two years in San Francisco as General Sales Manager of KSFO/KYA, my favorite stations when I was at San Jose State.
Left the radio business to work full time on my investments. Tried day trading and was probably the worst day trader who ever lived. Became an expert on stock warrants – an effort that turned out to be my passion for years. Earned enough so that I didn’t need to work again at a real job.
Got tired of investing full time and became a mortgage broker, before the crooks took over. I was happy to get many people into homes with good, solid mortgages that for the most part worked out fine. Left the business after the bad products came in and started to dominate the market. It was a very disappointing ending.
Retired for good. In the process of moving from Lake Oswego, Oregon to Whidbey Island, Washington, where I’ll have a ice view of Puget Sound and the Olympic mountains.
*I have considered writing a book about my time as a successful stock warrant investor, but I keep putting it off. It’s a shame. I could make you all rich! :^)
