Favorite High School Memories
My favorite memories of that time are the incredible friendships formed that – to a great extent – continue today. We are truly blessed to have grown up in the community we did, when we did.
Life Since High School
Originally went to UCSB and then transferred to San Jose State where I graduated with a degree in accounting in 1966. Immediately went to work for a large CPA firm in downtown LA. My career included a controllership position and later CFO for a company in the international insurance business located in Century City. This job required a good deal of travel to our offices across the US and to Bermuda and London. In 1979 I joined a regional CPA firm located in Glendale as a partner and retired from there 30 years later. For 13 years of that time I served as the Managing Partner for the firm.
I was first married while still in college and then divorced. I have three children, two daughters and a son. My daughters still live in the area and my son is in Northern California. In 1986 Pat Gaal and I rediscovered each other and were married in 1987. Pat bravely took on the role of stepmom to my three (teenagers at the time) who lived with us full time. She did a fabulous job in what were some times, shall we say, “challenging” circumstances.
We are now living in Newport Beach with our golden retriever Bailey. Boating and the water have been a big part of our lives, and we truly enjoy our condo on the bay. We have three grandchildren, the oldest of whom recently graduated from UCLA (yikes!). We look forward to some traveling and enjoying our friends who come to visit.
