High School Memories
Crusin’ Colorado Boulevard
Bob’s Big Boy
Paul Clopper’s drama class and great assemblies and football games and dances.
Somewhere along the way I got a pretty good education.
After High School
Attended Arizona State University – active Alpha Phi Sorority and Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity Gold Hearts Auxiliary.
Married Jim l965 – He is from Lake Forest, Illinois.
Graduated from ASU with and undergraduate degree in English; Master’s degree in Special Education and Master’s degree in Counseling.
Two boys. Tyler, 1976; Kalb, 1978. Stayed home to be a full-time Mom including Cub Scout den leader and all that other fun stuff for a while.
Later I became a teacher on the Salt River Indian Reservation in Scottsdale, Arizona in an alternative high school setting for several years then transferred to special education in junior high school setting in Mesa. I continued to be actively involved with the Native American community through a school club. I love a challenge and really enjoyed working with high risk youth. Retired from full-time teaching in 2005. Finally, I completed my tenure teaching homebound students part-time totally retiring in 2010.
I did not retire from teaching, but retired into construction. Jim and I built our third home – this time in Chaparral Pines Golf Club in Payson, Arizona where we enjoy the summers waterskiing and horseback riding and the winters snow skiing.
We also love to travel.
